Happy Memorial Day! ...Yesterday!

Hello Everyone!

We did nothing special yesterday for the holiday, except go to the ward memorial breakfast.

This past week was pretty good. We were able to meet some more new people that we hopefully will get to teach some more. On a sadder note, some of the people that we've found in previous weeks don't want to be taught anymore. That's how this area goes. It's fairly easy to find people to teach, but it's equally as easy for them to drop us a week later. So what we do, is we just go out and find more new people and pray that they stick. That is life. And I'm loving it. This is probably the most fruitful area I've been in, and I like that. I'll keep working and you keep working. Deal? Deal.

Have a most splendid week!

Love ya!

Don't let Satan slog you down

Monday, May 22, 2017

Hello World.

This week was a storm. Literally.🌧🌨🌩.
Several time this week we came home drenched. There's only so much a rain jacket can do.
We ride on lots of dirt paths here, and in the rain they turned to three inches of mud. Our bikes got annihilated by the mud, and we couldn't ride them until we cleaned them off.

We found two new investigators this week. That's fun. Other than that, pretty much all of our other appointments fell through except for one, a really awesome recent convert who is preparing to go to the temple and just got a calling to teach primary.

Rumor has it that we should be getting our car back in a week, so that would be kind of nice. There is one random neighborhood about 8 miles away that we can't efficiently get to on bike.

May your heart be filled with love,
Elder Wheelwright

Guten Morgen

Monday, May 15, 2017

Another week has passed. We met with a few people this week, but we couldn't get anyone to sacrament meeting due to it being Mother's day. We found a cool new investigator named Adrian. He readily accepted a Book of Mormon and we are going to see him this week.

Happy Mother's Day!!

So I'm in my new area now and this is a biking area. We are living in an apartment. The first two days I got here, we were dealing with our apartment flooding. We (being on the first floor) got everybody's backwater. The water came up out of the drain in our bathroom sink, fill up the sink, then spill out over the counter. It was nasty water too. People's used water. The maintenance guys "fixed" it twice, but it kept happening. The third attempt worked.

Things will continue. Have a wonderful week!

Later,
Elder Wheelwright

The great move has come.

It is transfer time and I'm being transferred. This is time when I most wanted to stay, but alas, it is what it is. I'll be going to Aurora Stake, Coal Creek Ward. My new companion will be Elder Burt.

It is a bit sad that I'll be leaving. These past few weeks it feels like we've built up a lot of momentum here and I was excited as to where it would go. But whatever. I'll hear about it.
On Wednesday I'll be headed off to the unknown.

Not much has happened. It's only been three days since I emailed last. But good stuff.

Watch this.

Our Body is a Temple

May 3, 2017

Hello all.
If our body is a temple, is the temple a body? It's a body for the spirit and awesomeness is what it is .
We went to the temple today, hence why I'm emailing today. Monday was a normal day for us and today is our pday day for this week. I so wish I could go to the temple more, but we only every three months. 🙁
We had a pretty good week. Yesterday was the monthly car fast and we found a promising new investigator, Diana. We'll talk to her next week again. She was super interested in the Book of Mormon and that Jesus came to the Americas. Cool cool cool.
We rode bikes all that day and we went super far from Louisville to Boulder on a huge hill.

Transfers are coming up exactly a week from today. I'll find out on Monday.
Peace,
Elder Wheelwright
