Fever with fervor

Hey peeps, this week was pretty abnormal. Elder Turner was sick with food poisoning or something for most of the week. So we only had about 1.5 days to do anything, and even that we had to take slow. But he's feeling better now, so we can get back up to speed. 

We did however get to meet Curtis, one of our investigators, and talk to him extensively over dinner at Red Robin. He is at a point where he knows he needs to get baptized but he doesn't know if he should do it in the JW or LDS church. Curtis is a pretty cool guy. He'll figure it out. 

We also met with an 80 yr old woman named Khamphong who only speaks Laos. We had her son translate the lesson to her. It was a pretty weird teaching experience. 

That was pretty much our week. I was able to do a lot of studies (and sudoku) this past week.

The Life.

The past week has been pretty crazy. On Tuesday we went and said goodbye to so many people in Bible Park. That was pretty sad, but that's life. We ended having to stay up super late to prepare the area to get 4 missionaries in Bible Park, so that really sucked. 

On Wednesday I got moved in after the long haul across the mission. And this past couple of days we've just been trying to get to know the area and the investigators. Sunday is a crazy day of church for us. Broadlands ward starts and 9am and the McKay Lake ward starts at 11am. So lots of things overlap and so many things are going on at the same time. Both of these wards though are really amazing. They have the most amazing people in it, I'm glad to be able to get to know them. 

That's about how the week has gone.

Leaving the Park

Bible Park (my area) is being swept. I am going to Mckay Lake/Broadlands wards. I'll be with an Elder Turner who has been out for 9 months. Bible Park is getting 4 missionaries sweeping in. Elder Melchin has become a Zone Leader. 

There were lots of changes everywhere, so it'll be an adventure. 

This past week was pretty good. Some highlights are that we were able to teach Richard and Princess the Plan of Salvation, and they both really loved it. They are both going to get baptized in the future. Hopefully this next transfer.

It has been an interesting week. Highlights: Got food poisoning. Saw a firework show. Taught some people. Ate the hottest hotsauce in the world (again). Did my normal missionary thing. Next week is transfers and I hope we both stay, but its been a while since Elder Melchin has moved (6 months). Also Elder Melchin bought a real master sword (pictures next week).
