Snow on snow on snow

We got a pretty big storm yesterday, and we ended up with quite a bit of snow. It'll all be gone in the next couple days though. We met with Kim this week and she is still really cool. We are getting lots of fellowship from the ward so that is awesome.
My new companion is Elder Hales. He is from Mesa Arizona. He's been out for about 5 months.

"What would your life be like without the Book of Mormon?"

Hello! It has been a good week. We got to bike around all week due to having to put our car in the shop. We've got it back now, thank goodness. It's been cold here.
Highlights:
- Taught Kim. She is still doing great, but she's out of town a lot.
- Went to Flat Irons Community church. It was basically a Rock concert (even with smoke machines)
- Started teaching the girlfriend of a missionary out from this ward.
- Had Interviews with President Savage.
- A pair of my pants got melted by a lava hot iron. I then got some new pants.
- I ran 17 mph.
- Got a new President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Good day to you all today. It is a great time to be alive in these the last days. We have Prophet after Prophet reveal the word of God to us to help us live our lives in these times. We have the wonderful church and it's organization that guides and keeps us on the path to Eternal Life. And we have both the Book of Mormon and the Bible to bring God's guidance, peace, spirit, knowledge, and Son to us.

Let these be a witness and testimony to you. Have a wonderful week.

Hey!

Hey all. Things have been the same old same old around here. We're still working with Kim and she is now planning on getting baptized on Jan 27th. So that is the exciting thing right now.

Another really cool thing that happened is that we've been going by households in the ward that nobody knows and we've gotten a lot of info on them, but one of them are really interested in coming church. There are some people out there that are just waiting to be invited, and they'll come back. It's pretty awesome. So just do it.

A Poem by President Monson "Around the Corner"

Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end;
Yet days go by, and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone,
And I never see my old friend’s face,
For Life is a swift and terrible race.
He knows I like him just as well
As in the days when I rang his bell
And he rang mine.
We were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men:
Tired with playing a foolish game,
Tired with trying to make a name.
“To-morrow,” I say, “I will call on Jim,
Just to show that I’m thinking of him.”
But to-morrow comes—and to-morrow goes,
And the distance between us grows and grows.

Around the corner!—yet miles away …
“Here’s a telegram, sir,”
“Jim died to-day.”

And that’s what we get, and deserve in the end:
Around the corner, a vanished friend.

Have a wondrous week.

Happy Winter!

Hey all. I hope your New Years wasn't too crazy. Ours was pretty hype. We celebrated Sister Savage's birthday and played some games and saw a lot of my missionary friends.
Kim is really awesome. She is pretty solid for Baptism on January 13th. She is just dealing with a lot of family problems. We are still working on meeting with everybody else and getting back with them now that the holidays are over.

Things are just humming along as ever here in Colorado, despite the cold. Thank you to all who sent packages and letters this season. It really meant a lot to me.

God Bless.
