Blessed Land

I'll start off by saying that I'm super excited about this transfer. It's going to be amazing if we do it right. God has dumped so many blessings here in this transfer it's crazy. We are going to be working with a lot of awesome people. There are two couples that are probably going to get baptized. It's super exciting.

Elder Melchin is my companion and he is super awesome. It's going to be an awesome transfer. He is from Calgary Canada. He came out two or three transfers before me. This companion knows how to work. He knows how to be effective. We get along really well together and it's going to be an awesome transfer. We are living in an apartment, we have a car (for now, before it has to go into the shop). This area (Bible Park) is not in downtown Denver. The City Park ward covers all of downtown Denver, and that's a crazy place. But Bible Park is covered mostly with apartment complexes.

We've gotten to see a lot of President and Sister Mendenhall this past week. They leave in four days. We got to go to a farewell reception that was held at our church building down the street (no other missionaries got to go ;) and we had them participate in a youth fireside last night where the youth from the whole stake could ask the panel (the Mendenhalls, us, and a sister RM) questions. It was a really awesome time. But it's super sad to see them go. We will get to see them for the last time tomorrow.

Have a Wonderful Week.

Transfers and half a pie

Well it's transfer time again, and many things are changing. Both me and my companion are leaving the area.
I'll be in the Bible Park ward in the Denver Stake. My new companion will be Elder Melchin.

I'm a little sad to be leaving this area, because we finally got in contact with a media referral from a while ago, and they are so golden is crazy. The Hendricks are a married couple in their 50s. They are dying to meet with the missionaries. They want to feed us dinner, and they already each had a quad set. That's a missionaries dream. I wish them well. There are people out there everywhere like that. We just don't know them. And they don't either. But God knows.

The future holds many unknown things. Let's go out and find the good stuff.

Love,
Elder Wheelwright

Mormons

This week was pretty was a bit of a slow week. My companion has been under the weather this week, and still kind of is. But we still get out there and work.

Something really awesome happened on Friday. We had a mission-wide recent-convert fireside. All the recent converts from the past three years in the mission were invited. And all the missionaries in the mission were there. Many wonderful musical numbers were given by missionaries, and many wonderful talks and testimonies given by the recent converts. Missionary work from members and full-time missionaries really do bring miracles and blessings into people's lives. This gospel brings joy and happiness into the lives of all those that accept it. So the people I don't share the gospel with, don't have that opportunity for greater joy. So I share and talk with everyone I can. If you're not a member go to mormon.org and learn how to find more happiness.

Peace and Love from,
Elder Wheelwright

We got our car - and some pretty wet weather!!  Just look at these stained feet from my shoes.

Supper time

Monday, June 5 2017

Jello everybody!

It's been a pretty good week. It's been the same old same old. Good things happening. We're doing our best to find teach people about Jesus Christ. That's what we're all about. We always run into a bunch of nice people every week, which is pretty great. We got our car back this week!! Woot Woot.

Some things I've learned this week:
  • Jacob is one of my favorite Prophets in the Book of Mormon because he is so empathetic
  • King Benjamin is a boss. Give to the poor.
  • Biking is slower than cars

Have a wonderful week,
Elder Wheelwright
