New transfer!

Hello World.

We have a new transfer coming up, and we are so excited. We and our good friends in U-Hills (the next ward over) are all staying put here in Denver. We are so happy about that. Pretty much everything else in the mission changed except us. President Savage has changed so much stuff. So many areas got combined. And what used to be 11 zones is now 7 zones.
This next transfer for us is going to be so good. We've got  a couple people lined up to be baptized in the next 6 weeks. Jackie didn't get baptized, but will be baptized hopefully on the 12th.

This week we had a crazy gospel miracle. There is this guy that would always be super rude to us (slam the door, throw the Book of Mormon out the 2-story window, lie to us, spout anti, etc.) but he came to church (with the persistence of a recent convert) and he loved it and is now meeting with us, and we can easily see him getting baptized now. This is the biggest change I've ever seen the gospel make in someones life. It's really crazy awesome.

Chris and Ashly Grahl are so amazing. I can't even describe how amazing they are. They just KNOW that God is going to take care of them. And Chris already signed up to come with us to our lessons. Really awesome.

People are out there that are waiting/looking for the gospel. Go find them!

Peace,
Elder Wheelwright

Awesome Week

This week was really awesome because Chris and Ashly were baptized! And confirmed! I baptized Ashly and confirmed Chris, and Elder Melchin baptized Chris and confirmed Ashly.
It was really awesome and they are so happy and awesome. (They are also really short ;) )

Jackie is still planning on getting baptized, but we pushed it back a week, and we might push it back more to make sure he really gets it for the right reasons.

We had interviews with President and Sister Savage a couple days ago. President Savage is really awesome.

We are pretty excited looking at all the potential for next transfer. There are so many things that we can make happen next transfer, and we are begging President Savage to keep us both here. We're hoping!

Have a wonderful week!

Miracles everywhere!

This last week was another amazing week. We taught Chris and Ashly a couple more times and they passed their baptismal interview. One of our zone leaders interviewed Chris in the elevator of their complex (they just kept going up and down the 4 floors and we were cracking up watching them). They are good to go for this Saturday. I'll be baptizing Ashly and Elder Melchin will baptize Chris, and we'll switch for the confirmation.

Another miracle that happened this week was that we met this guy Jackie who investigated the church a year ago, but we started teaching him and he is going to get baptized on the 29th!! He said he already knows that the Book of Mormon is true. He has been prepared for us by the Lord through an awesome member in the next stake over. Blessed day.

This week has been crazy packed with appointments like last week

We went and saw the biggest graveyard ever in our area today and this massive mausoleum with over 16k dead people inside. Crazy Huge.

President and Sister Savage are savage. We are super intense and awesome as we saw in Zone Conference this past week. I like them and I look forward to getting to know them real well.

Have a Blessed Week, and see Miracles,
Elder Wheelwright

Crazy crazy crazy

This place is cray. We are teaching so much we barely have time to go finding. It's pretty awesome.

Connor is an cool guy who is so deep in alcohol, but he is trying to get out. Today, I think he is 35 days sober. His record is 42 days, and he is super scared right now that he'll relapse, but we are trying to help him. If he can make it to 50 days we will baptize him.

Dale is a crazy guy who believes in energy. He can channel his energy and "spirit punch" people. Yeah. He's weird, but he'll get there eventually.

John is an awesome guy that has been taught for a while. He is a hardcore catholic that is super interested in the apostasy. He is just having a hard time getting an answer to the Book of Mormon. We think he might be afraid to.  We are taking our new Mission President Savage to our lesson with him on Wednesday.

Chris and Ashley are still super amazing.  They are set on getting baptized on July 22nd.  They just absorb everything we teach them. They are awesome. We actually met with them three times this past week.

By the way we met our mission president and his wife last week. They are pretty awesome. I'm excited to see whats happens with them. We are having a Zone Conference this week, and they are probably going to change up some things.

Have a Wonderful Week!

Hola

Monday, July 3rd 2017

This week has been a pretty awesome week. It was the first full week here in this area so I was able to get a better feel of how this area is. And it's pretty awesome. There is way more teaching to be done here than any of my past areas, so it's a lot of fun. We got that awesome golden family on baptismal date for 19th, but now we have to push it back because they didn't come to church. They just felt prompted to go into the church building and they loved the feeling there and all the friendship. They are so awesome. We also taught a guy named Sherman and he has an awesome relationship to God and he realized when we taught the restoration that he has never asked God which church is correct. He downloaded gospel library and now he will listen to the book of Mormon because it has really caught his attention. We are pretty excited to meet with him again on Friday. Sadly, we have to put our car into the shop on Wednesday. And we have a busy week ahead of us.

Since Elder Melchin is the district leader I have to go on a bunch of exchanges with the people in the district. So last Thursday I went to the City Park ward and was with two other elders (because they are a trio). City park is crazy. That is just straight up downtown Denver. They don't have a car, so we used the buses, trams, and light-rails all day to get around. It was a crazy day.

Yesterday we talked to some crazy people who believed in the "Mandela effect" where history is changing because of crazy science experiments dealing with time travel.... yeah. But crazy people are a part of Denver.

Love,
Elder Wheelwright
